I’m getting ready for another big show Labor Day weekend, it’s called “Art Walk” and is located at Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin. For the last few weeks I’ve been looking for my prints, matting and pricing, adding a few extra layers of varnish to originals, putting hanging wire on everything, looking for the tent, etc, etc, etc… It will all be fun in the end but WOW, What a lot of work!
Exhausted from all that left-brained work, I took some time off to finish up some new additions to “Tails of Imagination” series.
Kitty Cop was inspired by a photo I saw of a kitten wearing reflective sunglasses. They always make me think of those dapper state troopers who saunter up to the driver’s side of your car and say “License and registration please…” – of course that has never happened to me
I dropped my imagined, sunglass wearing kitten on top of a vintage toy police bike and “Kitty Cop” was born!

Kitty Cop – Part of the Tails of Imagination Series
The other new painting for the series took me back to the Rocket Dogs again. I had been following the “Mars Curiosity” landing and wanted something a little “Out of this World”. This painting leaves a LOT to the imagination, I bet you’d like to see the look on the dogs’ faces – I know I would.
